| 這個作品取材於排灣族的五年祭。一方面是想表達以前原住民的日常生活，另一方面也將原住民為了保有自己傳統而每五年舉辦的活動紀錄下來，其中五年祭本身活動的精神在於告訴我們人要飲水思源，慎終追遠，敬重神靈。 在描繪原住民的服飾中，每個圖騰、紋路都是與祖先和神靈的聯繫，雖然描繪不易，卻也從中感到排灣族祖先的智慧與勤勞。 蹲姿的婆婆專注的控制火力，避免午餐不小心焦了。小女孩乖乖的站在一旁，看著婆婆如何用古早時期的方式，耐心的處理午餐。雖然有點因為枯燥或身上繁華的服飾讓全身不自在而皺起了小臉，不過還是靜靜地等待。在長者與少女這樣自然而然的狀態下，讓旁人感受到，這是一個承傳的過程。 從一個旁觀者的看法，覺得原住民族所承傳的不只是活動祭典的儀式、設計精美的服飾，而是承傳那自古以來，從祖先那靈魂深處所保有的敬天重德，使受到現代社會影響而心靈浮動的族人，能夠安穩下自己的心神，用超常的看法來應對紛亂的俗事。 在忙碌的現代社會，有多少人能夠遵循與找回那種初心和古意？中華五千年的傳統文化與道德精神瑰寶，也需要更多人們的守護與關注。 |

| 之前从来没有画过观音菩萨像，找不到感觉无法下笔，一次听到一位先生跟和他讲真相的法轮功学员说，“你是救苦救难的观音菩萨吧？我觉得你就是”，我脑海里就出现了观音菩萨的形象，一下子就找到感觉，我是用敦煌壁画等为参照，镶嵌宝石，水晶，金属等装饰品，在油画基础上采用粘贴镶嵌工艺和线条的表现，使之带有中华民族东方古老艺术的韵味，我平时都是用其他颜料来画的，为了这次展出，特意尝试用油画来表现，可能有很多不成熟的表现，不过我想重在参与，我就是想来支持这个新唐人画展，每年举办画展都很不容易，谢谢您们的辛苦付出和给我们爱好绘画的人的机会，合十！ |

| This piece was inspired when I was parked next to a dock at dusk. The headlights of my car illuminated a group of fisherman walking back from their trip. I thought of a narrative in which two sisters were taking a rest from a long day's work before they took their journey back home. |
